Snowmen Winter Note Cards

Hello! As I write this, it's been crazy cold and snowy in Minnesota!  Way too COLD!  With that on my mind, I was inspired to make some Snowmen Winter Note Cards.  They're easy and quick!  Perfect for a note to brighten someone's day!

I used a super easy technique to make the backgrounds on these cards with crumpled tissue paper. Do you save tissue paper? I do!  I liked the color of this teal tissue paper so I saved it. It's been laying around in my craft room waiting to be used.  It made a wonderful textured background!

I used  Adhesive Sheets 4x6 inch applied to front of each card.  Next, after peeling the liner from adhesive, I pressed the card on crumpled tissue paper.  After turning it over, I pressed it firmly in place and trimmed excess tissue from edges.

Faux Postage Fall Card

Hi, friends!  Fall is certainly in the air as I write this! The colors of tree leaves are intense golds and some reds.  I really like those colors and used them as inspiration for color of this fall card.  It's a pretty easy to make card!  The design could so easily be used for lots of occasions.  Simply stamp holiday images for Christmas or make it for a birthday with balloon or cake images. Just use your imagination and create!

I posted all the details about how I made it on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog HERE.

I used a stamp set from Tim Holtz called The Scarecrow.  So appropriate for fall.  Where I live there are corn fields all around and an occasional scarecrow!

Halloween Treat Bag

 Hello crafty friends!

As I write this, it is the end of September.  As October looms around the corner, Halloween will soon be here.  I tend to be a last-minute person most of the time but today I'm way ahead by sharing a Halloween Treat Bag.  Of course, it's always good to make ahead to be ready for treats!

The basic treat bag is quite easy to make with #8 white tags and some scraps of white cardstock.  It can easily be made with cardstock cut to same size as #8 tags which is 3.125 x 6.25 inches.

This Halloween Treat Bag is posted on Scrapbook Adhesives Blog today. There many step-out photos with directions to make this treat bag HERE.

I stamped and used Distress Spray Stains on the front tag but it could easily be decorated with decorative papers, die cuts or a different stamped design.  It's so easy to make and assemble with Crafty Power Tape!

This is one of the process photos.  For more details go to Scrapbook Adhesives Blog HERE.

Specimen Fall Leaves Card

Hello crafty friends!

Although I don't look forward to what follows Fall, I sure enjoy the colors at this time of year!  That's my inspiration for making this card.  It's on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog today.

It features a small die cut envelope and folder cut with dies by Tim Holtz from Sizzix - Specimen and Collector and leaves I stamped with Tim Holtz set Nature's Wonder.  I also used stamps from Tim Holtz Field Notes, Tiny Toadstools and The Scarecrow.  Leaves are from Nature's Wonder, stamping on envelope insert and on folder are from Field Notes, stamping on small envelope are from Tiny Toadstools and the verse is from The Scarecrow.

Does the red cardstock look stitched?  I hope so but it's not!  I poked holes along edges with a needle tool and Tim Holtz ruler which has holes along one edge.  Then I used a Uni-Ball Signo Micro black pen to draw the lines over the holes.

You'll find details on how to make the card on Scrapbook Adhesives Blog - HERE

Thanks so much for stopping!

Thankful Card with Foil Leaves

Hello everyone! I'm back with another Scrapbook Adhesives project.  It's hard to believe that it's the end of August!  It will soon be fall with all it's glorious colors!  That's my inspiration for this card.

You can find all the step out photos and directions on Scrapbook Adhesives blog - HERE.

Here's a peek of how I used foil for the letter squares which are Thin 3D Foam Squares with die cut letters on them

and foil on 3D Foam Leaves.

I like to use a heat gun to heat the leaves after applying the foil.  It adds a slight texture and mellows the color a tiny bit.

Mixed Media Background Card

Hello everyone!

Here is a mixed media background card that can easily be used for many occasions.  Simply keep some greetings on hand to add as needed.

The background is fun to make with E-Z Dots® Repositionable Refillable Dispenser and Distress Oxide sprays and Distress ink.  Once the paper is dry, simply rub off the repositionable adhesive.  Add more color as desired.

In the photo the adhesive has been removed and reveals the paper color underneath.  I added Uncharted Mariner ink over and misted with water for the final background.

Bright Flowers Birthday Card

Thinking bright, sunny and warm today with this Bright Flowers Birthday Card to beat the winter dreariness!

I made this card for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and you can find it on their blog.  Lots more details posted there.

I made all the flowers with watercolors.  Once they were dry, I added black outlines with Uni-Ball Stabilo 207 pen and used it and a white pen for the dots in center of flowers.  Leaves were also painted with watercolors and outlined.  Then I fussy cut them out.  I've come to enjoy the process of painting them and "doodling" the outlines, centers and more.  Even the fussy cutting is relaxing!  I usually do all the steps over a few days....no rush. I generally take time to go to my craft room every night before bed.  I usually don't start any projects then but I doodle around flowers or cut them out.  It's mindless and enjoyable.

These particular flowers I painted one afternoon while showing my sister how to make them. The flowers really come to life with the outlines and added dots and lines.

Here's some of the flowers in my fodder keeper.  I learned the basics for making these flowers and the fodder keeper in Fodder School which is a yearlong class with different instructors each month.  The instructor for this class was Tiffany Sharpe.  You can find her on Instagram as TiffanySimplySharpe. Fodder School was created by Tiffany and Wendy Solganik.  Wendy is on IG as Willa.Wanders.  Fodder School has been great so far!  I'm a bit behind but it's always there for me to do when I have time.

You can find me on Instagram as judesigns7  I have photos posted there of my fodder keeper and more flowers.

Happy Crafting!

Foiled Winter Joy Card

Well, winter is here with the cold days of January and that usually brings snow.  In keeping with season, I put together this foiled snowflake card.

I tried putting foil on 3D Creative Foam Sheets in a random pattern for this card.  I really like how the words cut from it have varying colors across the letters and dimension!

I've posted all the directions on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog.  You can click HERE to go there.
