Foiled Mosaic Birthday Card

 

Hello friends!  

Today, I'm sharing this Foiled Mosaic Birthday Card.

 

It's a new technique that I tried.  I'm pleased with how it turned out!  I tried a different embossing folder with a small design that did not work as well.  I also tried one with a bigger design and that was not successful either.  I may try some others but this one worked well.

Laminated Paper Napkin Bookmarks

 Here's a fun project for pretty paper napkins!

These laminated bookmarks feature a pretty paper napkin that's been fastened to cardstock, die cut and then laminated.  I stamped a verse on the back. Bookmark in photo with verse is back side.  These are fun to do and quite easy.  I plan to make some more with some of my dyed papers or painted watercolor flowers.

Patchwork Birthday Card

 Hello!

Today, I'm sharing this cute Patchwork Birthday card!  

The background patchwork is pieced with squares of patterned paper.  It's easier than it sounds when done with strips fastened to a paper backing and then cut crosswise to make strips of 1/2 inch squares.

Sending Warm Wishes Card

 Happy Winter!  

Here's a sweet snowmen "Sending Warm Wishes" card to brighten someone's winter day!  

These snowmen  are fun to color with Distress Watercolor Pencils.  It's so easy to simply touch a wet paint brush to tip of watercolor pencil and paint the snowmen.  The colors are so vibrant.

Joyful Christmas Card

 

 Today, I'm sharing a Joyful Christmas card.  

The tree features strips of assorted Christmas paper strips fastened to a triangle cut from 3D Foam Creative Sheets.  The tree is like a big sticker as the 3D Foam Creative Sheet has adhesive on both sides.  I posted all the directions with step out photos on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog HERE. 

The "garlands" on the tree are created with lines of adhesive covered with Metallic Transfer Foil Celebrate Colors.  A 3D Foam Tree sets atop the tree and its covered with gold foil.  

The tree is very easy to do.  The challenge on this card is getting the adhesive garlands nice and even.  I think sequins on the tree would be just as festive.  

I can imagine making the tree with various colors of green papers or all white pattern papers, ... The creative options are endless.

Halloween Lantern

 Hello everyone!

Today, I have a fun project to share, a Halloween Lantern!  Here's a few photos and info.  More details with all the directions are on Scrapbook Adhesives blog today.  Click HERE to go there.

I found this metal lantern at Dollar Tree and thought it would be perfect to decorate for Halloween. I really like how it turned out.  Once all the pieces are cut, it goes together fairly quickly.  I fastened vellum in 3 sides of the lantern and left back open to be able to put a battery candle inside.

 

These are the pieces for side one.  Each piece is cut from black cardstock that has Adhesive Sheets applied to the back before die cutting.  That makes fastening pieces to the vellum in the lantern easy.  

 This is the third side of the lantern.

Butterfly Note Card

 Hey everyone!

Today, I'm sharing a pretty Butterfly Note Card.

I used stamps from Tracy Evans "Dog Rose & Butterfly" stamp set.  The image was stamped on on watercolor paper and then painted with watercolors.  I also stamped the butterfly and word "butterfly" separately on watercolor paper and painted those as well and then cut them out.  The butterfly is popped up with 3D Foam Squares White Mix  and the word is fastened with Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix

Metallic Foil Graduation Card

 

I always think of graduations at this time of year which inspired me to put together this shiny Metallic Foil Graduation card.  I really like the shine of these metallic colors! I've combined green and blue foils.  That was a happy accident when I started to apply foil, I thought I had just a blue sheet in my hand.  When I peeled away the foil, I discovered there was a sheet of green foil under the blue. The sheets are so thin and cling together.  So I added blue with  the green and really liked it!

Stunning Embossed Foil Card

I've been experimenting with applying foil to card stock and then embossing it.  I like the results.  I put together this card one of the pieces.

I used pink foil from Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Pastel Colors fastened to cardstock with Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6in. before embossing it.  Then I applied Archival Jet Black ink over the embossed.  Over that I put clear embossing powder and heat embossed.  That seals the ink plus the heat adds a texture to foil.  I've tried embossing with foiled papers and they often crack but this doesn't do that.

It's a technique that can be used with other embossing folders.  I find the 3D folders give the best results.

Patchwork Note Card

 Here's a quick and easy card to make!

The patchwork background is made with 1 inch squares of patterned paper fastened to cream cardstock.  Each of the squares has adhesive applied with Adhesive Sheets which makes it so easy to fasten them.  Add a contrast mat of green and a sentiment and it's done.

Lucky Friend Card

 Thinking of St Patrick's Day with this Lucky Friend card.

The foiled shamrock is made with hearts covered by metallic transfer foil.  It's a fun technique.  I used some foil for the border on verse, too.  Although it's hard to see in photo, the background has been spritzed with Distress Spritz Mowed Lawn so it has a shimmer.

Warm Winter Wishes Card

 Hello Friends,

When I found, or should I say rediscovered, a pretty Penny Black printed card of snowy landscape, I was inspired to make this card. It's winter here in Minnesota but so far without much snow.

I wanted the image to be focal point so I kept background subtle with white embossed design.  It adds interest yet doesn't take away from main image.  I've added a stamped and die cut verse that's simple and small and fits with the design.  All the details with step out photos are on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog today....click HERE to go to it.

 Today, I'm sharing this pretty Snowflake Birthday Card that's perfect for a winter birthday. 

Metallic Foil adds shiny bits of color on an embossed white background.  I've added bands of foil across the greeting band to set it off. Simple and very pretty!
