Patchwork Birthday Card

 Hello!

Today, I'm sharing this cute Patchwork Birthday card!  

The background patchwork is pieced with squares of patterned paper.  It's easier than it sounds when done with strips fastened to a paper backing and then cut crosswise to make strips of 1/2 inch squares.

Poinsettia Tag

 This pretty Poinsettia Tag is perfect for a gift tag, an ornament on a tree or both! 

 

I used a weathered white wood tag (from Hobby Lobby) and added pretty stamped and die cut poinsettias and greenery.  All pieces are fastened with Thin 3D Foam Squares. The was sprayed with Distress Oxide Spritz Hickory Smoke for subtle sparkle. Rock Candy glitter on the poinsettias and greenery add a touch of sparkle that's easy to apply with glue. A tiny gold bow is tucked under the poinsettia and white seam binding at top for hanging or tying to a gift.

Joyful Christmas Card

 

 Today, I'm sharing a Joyful Christmas card.  

The tree features strips of assorted Christmas paper strips fastened to a triangle cut from 3D Foam Creative Sheets.  The tree is like a big sticker as the 3D Foam Creative Sheet has adhesive on both sides.  I posted all the directions with step out photos on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog HERE. 

The "garlands" on the tree are created with lines of adhesive covered with Metallic Transfer Foil Celebrate Colors.  A 3D Foam Tree sets atop the tree and its covered with gold foil.  

The tree is very easy to do.  The challenge on this card is getting the adhesive garlands nice and even.  I think sequins on the tree would be just as festive.  

I can imagine making the tree with various colors of green papers or all white pattern papers, ... The creative options are endless.

Halloween Lantern

 Hello everyone!

Today, I have a fun project to share, a Halloween Lantern!  Here's a few photos and info.  More details with all the directions are on Scrapbook Adhesives blog today.  Click HERE to go there.

I found this metal lantern at Dollar Tree and thought it would be perfect to decorate for Halloween. I really like how it turned out.  Once all the pieces are cut, it goes together fairly quickly.  I fastened vellum in 3 sides of the lantern and left back open to be able to put a battery candle inside.

 

These are the pieces for side one.  Each piece is cut from black cardstock that has Adhesive Sheets applied to the back before die cutting.  That makes fastening pieces to the vellum in the lantern easy.  

 This is the third side of the lantern.

Stunning Embossed Foil Card

I've been experimenting with applying foil to card stock and then embossing it.  I like the results.  I put together this card one of the pieces.

I used pink foil from Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Pastel Colors fastened to cardstock with Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6in. before embossing it.  Then I applied Archival Jet Black ink over the embossed.  Over that I put clear embossing powder and heat embossed.  That seals the ink plus the heat adds a texture to foil.  I've tried embossing with foiled papers and they often crack but this doesn't do that.

It's a technique that can be used with other embossing folders.  I find the 3D folders give the best results.

Hello Friend Card

 Hello!

Today I'm sharing a Hello Friend card that's posted on Scrapbook Adhesives Blog.  All the details with directions and step out photos are HERE.

I used a stamp set from Simon Hurley for the pretty flowers and colored them with watercolors.  Each one was fussy cut out.  There is a die set for that stamp but I don't have it.  I find fussy cutting rather meditative!  Each one is popped up with 3D Foam Squares.  I used a Sizzix die designed by Tim Holtz to cut the tiny envelope and card insert. The background lattice was cut with another die by Sizzix called Layered Plaid.  Check all the info HERE

Valentine Heart Collage Card

 Wow!  January sure has gone by fast!  Generally, I'm glad to get through this cold winter month but this year seemed to zoom by way too fast.  

Anyway, that means Valentine's Day is just around the corner!

Warm Winter Wishes Card

 Hello Friends,

When I found, or should I say rediscovered, a pretty Penny Black printed card of snowy landscape, I was inspired to make this card. It's winter here in Minnesota but so far without much snow.

I wanted the image to be focal point so I kept background subtle with white embossed design.  It adds interest yet doesn't take away from main image.  I've added a stamped and die cut verse that's simple and small and fits with the design.  All the details with step out photos are on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog today....click HERE to go to it.

Foiled Trees Christmas Card

 Today, I'm sharing this Foiled Trees Christmas card that's so easy to make!  

The trees are made with triangles from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Pennants with green foil from Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Celebrate Colors applied to them.  Very simple yet very pretty.

I've added some Rock Candy Glitter with glue applied from Dual Tip Glue Pen.  Easy to do and adds a touch of snowy sparkle.  The greeting stamp is from Tim Holtz Christmastime 3 stamp set by Stampers Anonymous.

Foiled Leaves Thanksgiving Card

Number 70 Birthday Card

Hello Friends!

I was recently invited to a party to celebrate a 70th birthday and needed to wrap a gift. So I stamped some Kraft packing paper.  It turned out so well that I decided to use the leftover paper to make a card. 

I'm super happy with how it turned out!

This design could be used for any age number.  I used recycled Kraft packing paper on this card.  A different paper would change the whole look!  I may be using this idea for a few more cards!

Tag with Metallic Foil Panel

Metallic Foil Stripes Card

 Hi Friends! 

It's been a while since I posted.  I took a much needed break from crafty obligations. I needed some time for me and time to be outdoors in the summer.  I have several flower beds to tend to and I love being out in the fresh air and sunlight.  

Today, I'm back with a card made for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  

It's very easy to make with Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Pastel Colors and Crafty Foam Tape Black 108ft..  You can find all the directions with step out photos on Scrapbook Adhesives Blog today.  I used E-Z Runner® Ultra Strong Refillable Dispenser to put the layers together.  The stamp and coordinating die are from Taylored Expressions All Occasions.  The only other supplies are textured white cardstock and black cardstock.  Fun and easy to make!
