Thanksgiving Card with Embossed and Foiled Background

It's getting to that time of year....Fall is here and Thanksgiving is not far off. 

I made this card with an embossed panel of 3D Foam Creative Sheets Small Black fastened to black cardstock.  Then I lightly applied copper, bronze and brown foils from Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors to get a mix of colors.  I didn't press the foil into the veins and areas recessed.  Then i covered it with black embossing powder, shook off excess and rubbed off powder stuck to foil.  It was heated to emboss and it also made the foil crinkle.  It makes for a stunning background!

Foiled Leaves Fall Garland

 Today, I'm sharing a Foiled Leaves Fall Garland.  

I found the wood leaves at Hobby Lobby and couldn't resist making something with them!  I used Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Nature Colors for color applied over adhesive from Adhesive Sheets 6x12 inch.  The adhesive didn't fully cover the leaves which was perfect the look of mixed colors that I wanted.  After applying the foild, I rubbed blue ink into the wood between the foil areas. Each leaf is colored on both sides and covered with clear embossing powder to seal the ink and foil.  Heating the embossing powder also crinkles the foil for a rustic look.  These leaves are much prettier in real life as the the shine on them just doesn't show in my photos.

Funky Flower Birthday Greetings Card

 Today, I'm sharing a Funky Flower Birthday Greetiings Card.  It's a bit out of my comfort zone with bold colors but I really like it!  I was inspired by a paper flower I saw on Pinterest...not at all like this.   It gave me an idea and the result is this card.

Finding Joy Embossed Panel Card

 Hello!

I'm back with another project that features 3D Foam that I have embossed with an embossing folder.  

This time I used the technique to make a background panel for this card.  I apologize that my photo doesn't quite show the full shine of the foil and embossing powder.  For some reason, my embossing powder didn't melt smooth.

Celebrate Stars Card

 Today, I have a Celebrate Stars Card to share.  I'm thinking ahead for Flag Day in June and Independence Day in July.  Besides, I love stars and red, white and blue! 

The stars are all 3D Foam Stars which are covered with foil from Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Variety Colors (blue) and Metallic Transfer Foil Sheets Celebrate Colors  (Silver).  I created the stripes on the card with  Premium Double-Sided Tape 1/4in. covered with red embossing powder and heat embossed.  I like how the stamped script shows through the stripes.

Foiled Mosaic Birthday Card

 

Hello friends!  

Today, I'm sharing this Foiled Mosaic Birthday Card.

 

It's a new technique that I tried.  I'm pleased with how it turned out!  I tried a different embossing folder with a small design that did not work as well.  I also tried one with a bigger design and that was not successful either.  I may try some others but this one worked well.
