Jack-o'-lantern Shaker Card

Happy Friday!

Here's a fun Jack-o'-lantern Shaker Card for Halloween.  It makes me smile to see that pumpkin face with sequins, glass glitter and micro beads shining though it's face.  The bats are covered with shiny black foil.  Clouds and background have pearlescent Distress Crayon rubbed over them.

You can find all the directions for this card on Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L Blog today.  All the details for making a pumpkin into a shaker are there with step out photos.  It's really easy with 3D Foam Strips and Adhesive Sheets.  Check it out HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pumpkin Gnomes

 Hello!

Today, I'm sharing some Pumpkin Gnomes!  Aren't they cute?

These are all on one stamp perfect for a slim line card.
I used Distress Oxide ink re-inkers as watercolor to paint them.  I added some Rock Candy Glitter to the white hat brims and pompoms. It didn't photograph well though.
The center gnome is cut out and popped up with 3D Foam Squares.

Introducing 3D Holiday Vignettes

Sponsored:  As a designer for Amazing Paper Grace, I receive dies to create projects.   I'm also a designer for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and receive product to use for projects.

Way back when 3D Vignettes were introduced, messages started to come in by crafters begging for the same thing, but for Christmas. You also asked that we keep supplying new inserts. Well, your wish is our command! Introducing 3D Holiday Vignettes plus new Glimmer Designs. If you are not familiar with these popular dies, stay tuned - lots of information follows.

Hi there, today we are sharing with you a great new collection by Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace with a blog hop featuring new Vignettes for the holidays and the new Holiday Glimmer Designs will blow your socks off.  So.....

What's a 3D Vignette?
A 3D Vignette is a dimensional card that folds down flat.  It has a front layer, a back layer and several in between layers that are held stable by slotted side pieces.  These layers allow you to build depth into a diorama or tunnel type card.   We take all of the guesswork out of the equation by giving you mix and match layers, including sentiments to stack into a Vignette.   So far, we've released 3D Vignettes and Shadowbox Vignettes.

What's more, you can use your own supplies to fill them up as well.  The bonus is that each of these layers also works for your other types of cards you make.  A budget crafter from day one, Becca keeps the "mix and match" sensibility alive in Holiday Vignettes so that you get a lot of bang for your buck.  What does that mean?

1.  These vignettes are interchangeable with your other vignettes.
2.  Holiday Designs can be used for non-holiday designs after the season.
3.  You can use these elements to make flat, stand-alone cards too.

About 3D Holiday Vignettes
Layered Die sets were introduced with 3D Vignettes and people quickly realized you could use individual elements in flat cards or you could use them layered together in a diorama.  Shadowbox Vignettes continued the tradition and as you might guess, these new layering sets can be used in both Shadowbox Vignettes and 3D Vignettes.

3D Holiday features three new facades (each including a sentiment) using the same shapes that came in the original 3D Vignettes - Round (snow globe), Arch, and Cabinet.

In addition, there is a new layering set for each - a round set, an arch set and a set to fit the new cabinet.  Join us as we give you a full-on look at all of the new sets.

My Projects For Today:

I've used Grand Christmas Lattice Arch for my projects today.
My first project is a card that I made with this beautiful set of dies.  I really like how the metallic paper looks behind the lattice!

Here is what the plate actually looks like.

When I first looked at this die set, I wondered how it would look for a card.  Once I cut it and started to work with it, I was captured by its uniqueness and how pretty it is layered over metallic paper.  Of course, this die set can be used to make a 3D Vignette!  I decided to use it for the front of card.  I cut 3 layers of the lattice from blue paper.  Each layer behind the stamped scene is fastened without any dimension.  The edges, however, are fastened with narrow strips of black 3D Foam Sheet.  It's subtle dimension that adds shadow to the lattice.

For my second project, I made a wrap for a candle chimney or vase. It would be pretty filled with shimmery Christmas ornaments!

I used vellum to wrap around a clear candle chimney/vase.  The lattice is cut from pearlescent dark blue paper but my photo doesn't show the shimmer of the paper.  I've added glitter to the stamped winter scene and die cut snowflakes.

To make the white frame, which is cut from a shimmer paper, around the scene, I used the outer die and the die with "Away in the Manger".  Then I cut out the words leaving a frame. I added a few holly leaves with pearls on the frame edge along with snowflakes scattered around the frame.  The holly leaves were cut with a die from Holly Jolly Christmas.

I hope you've found some inspiration from my projects!  This die set can be used to make so many different projects, even non holiday projects.

Be sure to check out the other designers projects.  Links are below.

Cool Penguin Card with Stampendous and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Sponsored:  I'm a designer for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and receive product to use for projects.

Stampendous! and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L have paired for a Holiday Blog Hop this week!  Lots of inspiration on both blogs. Here are links for all the days:

Lots  of  inspiration on Stampendous! Blog as well!

Today, I have a Cool Penguin Card on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog

Here are a few step out photos and directions:

- Start with white 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base.
- Cut purple and lavender mats
- Press edges of lavender mat on watermark ink pad.  Apply Stampendous©!  Detail Gold Embossing Powder to edges and heat to emboss. Do Not stamp with snowflakes first as photo shows!  Gold embossing powder will stick to snowflakes - lesson learned!  Of course, that could be a very cool background as well!

- Repeatedly stamp snowflakes on lavender paper with watermark ink.
- Stamp verse on white cardstock with black ink. Trim to size
- Cut purple mat for verse.
- Assemble purple and lavender mats to card front and verse to purple mat using E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser .

- Freehand cut snowbank from white cardstock.  Shade with watercolor markers

- Stamp penguin, hat and sweater from Stampendous©! Cool Penguin Stamps and Cutting Dies set on white cardstock with watermark ink.  Heat emboss with Stampendous©!  Detail Gold Embossing Powder .
- Use dies from Stampendous©! Cool Penguin Stamps and Cutting Dies set to cut out penguin, hat and sweater.
- Use watercolor markers to color hat, sweater and penguin
- Attach sweater to penguin with Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix
- Attach hat along bottom edge with E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser.  The narrow adhesive works so well along the edge!

- Fasten snowbank to card with Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix in center.  Use E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser to apply adhesive at ends

- Use Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix to fasten penguin on areas that are above snowbank.  Use E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser  at bottom edge where penguin is over snowbank.
- Fasten matted verse with Thin 3D Foam Squares White Mix

Enjoy a Cool Penguin Card!

Happy creating!

Bright Daisy Frame

Hello friends! Today, I’m sharing a Bright Daisy Frame for a blog hop sponsored by Stampendous®! and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™! What fun! Favorite stamping products and favorite adhesives!
You can find all the details for Day 2 here. And there are prizes!

For my Bright Daisy Frame, I used Stampendous! Cling Daisy Mix stamp set and matching Daisy Mix die set with Spring Micro Glitter and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Girlie Grunge Gauze, 3D Foam Squares and Dodz Mini.

To make this frame, I started with a wood craft frame and painted it soft yellow.  For some texture and a little bit of shabby chic look, I glued Girlie Grunge Gauze to it.  I used Dual Tip Glue Pen to spread a thin coat of glue over frame.  Then I pressed and smoothed a piece of Girlie Grunge Gauze over it.  I trimmed gauze along edges and opening.
Next, I created the flowers.  I used stamps from Stampendous® Cling Daisy Mix set with black ink on white card stock. I colored them with Distress Crayons and blended the colors with water.  Photo shows upper flower and leaf colored with crayons and bottom flower and leaf colored and blended with water.
It’s so easy to cut these out with matching Stampendous® Daisy Mix Die Cut Set!  Simply match the inner edges of die with stamped image, tape in place and pass through die cut machine.  Perfect cut!   I shaped the flower petals at this point while they were still a little damp.
Next, I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ Dual Tip Glue Pen to apply glue over pink areas and applied Pink glitter from Stampendous Spring Micro Glitter Set.  Then I added glue over the yellow areas and sprinkled with Sunflower glitter.  For leaves, I used Lime glitter along veins, then added glue along edges and sprinkled with Sunflower glitter.  Upper flower and leaf in photo have one color glitter; lower leaf and flower have 2 colors.

For the flower centers, I applied glue with Dual Tip Glue Pen (so easy to use!) and covered with Stampendous Chunky Metallic Seasonings Embossing Enamel.  I did not heat it. I simply used it as a nice textured flower center!
After flowers dried completely, I applied Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares under center of each flower.  On leaves, I used a small 3D Foam Square near center of leaf and Dodz Mini at base end.

I left the backing on the adhesives while I arranged flowers on the frame.  It was easy then to remove adhesive backing and press each flower or leaf in place!

Thanks so much for visiting!  I hope you’ve enjoyed this Bright Daisy Frame!
