Lucky Friend Card

Thinking of St Patrick's Day with this Lucky Friend card.

I posted this card on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog today.  Find all the details HERE.

The foiled shamrock is made with hearts covered by metallic transfer foil.  It's a fun technique.  I used some foil for the border on verse, too.  Although it's hard to see in photo, the background has been spritzed with Distress Spritz Mowed Lawn so it has a shimmer.

All the directions with step out photos so you can see how to make your own shamrock are HERE.

Thanks for visiting!

Judy

I've used Altenew Vintage Flowers and Sentiments & Quotes for this card.

These flowers are amazing!  It took me a few trial and error attempts to get the colors and stamping technique.  Love how they look!   I found it easiest to stamp the outline first.  Then I stamped the background color and added the shadow stamping.

Here are directions for my card:

1. Form a 4½ x 6ʺ card from Kraft cardstock
2. Layer pattern paper (4½ x 5½ʺ) and white cardstock (4½ x 5¾ʺ) onto card front.  Fasten with E-Z Dots® Permanent
3. Cut Labels 39 #5(#1 being the smallest) from white cardstock
4. Place Labels 39 Decorative Accents #2 over Labels 39 from Step 3. Cut and emboss.  Fasten to card front with Thin 3D Foam Squares –White ½ʺ
5. Cut/emboss Labels 39 #3 from white cardstock.  Fasten to card front with Thin 3D Foam Squares –White ½ʺ
6. Stamp smaller rose outline from Altenew Vintage Flowers with Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock.  Stamp background flower shape with Angel Pink ink.  Ink shadows flower with Love Letter, stamp off once and stamp on flower.  Stamp deep shadows with Rhubarb Stalk.  Cut out flower and shape petals.  Fasten to card with 3D Foam Squares White ½ʺ
7. Stamp small leaf branch from Altenew Vintage Flowers with New Sprout ink.  Stamp shadow leaf with Pistachio ink.  Stamp outline with Olive Grove.  Ink stem only from background leaf with Olive Grove and stamp over leaf.  Repeat 3 times. Cut out.  Shape leaves and fasten to card with 3D Thin Foam Squares.
8. Stamp verse from Altenew Sentiments & Quotes on Kraft cardstock with Onyx Black ink. Trim to size.  Fasten with E-Z Dots® Permanent  and Thin 3D Foam Squares
9. Tie piece of Texture Ribbons  sheer in knot.  Fasten with Dodz Small
