Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L DT

Hey blog friends!

Well it has been a very long time.......  Somehow it doesn't seem like its been 5 months since I posted!   Today is a start to get back to sharing here!

I'm happy to announce that I'm now on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Design Team!  Their adhesives are awesome! So that means I'll be posting a project on their blog 2 times a month.  My days are 7th and 28th of each month.  I plan to post something here but all the details will be on Scrapbook
Adhesives blog here.

Here's a Burlap Gift Box Topper I shared earlier this month.  You'll find all the details here!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy creating!

Two Hearts Wedding Card

Something in blue........

a wedding card with paper flowers and pearls.

This is a card I created for Spellbinders.  The little paper flowers were created with Donna Salazar's set called Bitty Blossoms.  Aren't they cute?  These are the perfect size for cards, especially cards that will be hand given.  The flowers are too dimensional to be mailed in a regular envelope.  A padded envelope works well though!  A card like this is well worth the extra postage!!!

You can find a list of all the supplies in the Spellbinders Idea Gallery.  Just click here.

So happy to have you visit my blog!
smiles......

A Sewing Tag

I put together this sewing tag with bits and pieces that I cut while demoing at CHA.  All these shapes are new Spellbinders die templates layered onto a #8 manilla tag.

The sewing machine and buttons are from a new set by Nina B Designs for Spellbinders™, S5-088 Sewing Elements.  I cut it from scratch art board made by Royal Langenickel.  I sanded the embossed areas to reveal the copper color.  It's perfect for this vintage sewing machine!  The words "Made for You" are cut from the same board.  They are from a new Donna Salazar set called Girlie Grunge Labels, Spellbinders™ S5-084.   Under the sewing machine is a brown scrap of thin wood.  Yes, it's actual wood that's very thin.  I stained it with Distress ink.  I didn't use a die template to cut it, rather it's what was left after I cut notebook edge strip from Becky Fleck's S4-359 Office Supplies set.  The striped piece was cut with a die template from Spellbinders S5-094 Labels and Tags.  The background print shape is a new shape from S5-096 Jar Labels.  Behind that I added a piece of Kraft paper cut with the largest of a new oval set, S4-356 Floral Ovals.   It's one of my favorites of the new shapes!   I stamped the tag with a sewing stamp by Tim Holtz and added Distress inks to the edges.   I tied on some seam binding ( appropriate, huh???) and a scrap of lace fabric.

This was fun to put together!!!  A scrap tag!

Thanks for visiting!

Spellbinders 2012 DT Retreat

I spent a few days last week at the Spellbinders 2012 Design Team Retreat in Phoenix.  We had so much fun!!! What an awesome group of ladies!!!  So talented and so nice!!!  Miss them all!

Donna Salazar taught a class using her Spellbinders S5-085 Mixed Media Elements  and S5-086 Bitty Blossoms die template sets.  Looks like I'm the only one who didn't hold up my creation!!!
We're all dressed in black because it was photo day.

Here's my project!  Donna shared lots of tips for making the Bitty Blossoms.  Fun to play!

Here's a silly photo of my roommate, Teresa Horner, and me!

Heidi Van Laar was my table mate!  We sat next to each other for our class sessions.

Christine Emberson, Teresa, myself, and Iwona Estera out for dinner.

Back to reality......work and projects due!  Plus we're celebrating my dad's 85th birthday this weekend so family is coming on Thursday.  That means a bit of house cleaning, too!  Hoping for lots of creative inspiration to get my scrapbook page done in the next 2 nights!!!

Thanks for stopping!
hugs,

Birthday Flowers

I found some time Monday (a day off from work!!!) to make a card for fun!!!
Here's a birthday card featuring the new Bitty Blossoms, Spellbinders S5-086 by Donna Salazar.  The flower size is perfect for cards!

There are 3 sizes of flowers along with 3 leaf die templates in the  set.  I've used the 2 smaller flowers for this card.  The pink and yellow one are the same.  I added glitter to them after they were shaped.   For the greeting, I used a long pennant from S5-029 Nested Lacey Pennants.  The verse is from Waltzingmouse Fancy Phrases.  All papers are from the Carmen Collection by Anna Griffin.  I colored the pearl head pin with Copic marker E97.
