Hello everyone!
Here's a fun to make Happy Birthday Banner!
I love making handmade books so last spring I joined the Handmade Book Club. It's managed by Ali Manning of Vintage Page Designs. It's been a wonderful place to learn about book making. So far I've completed 5 books and have one in progress.
This is my most recent journal.....
I made this for the Fabric Journal Challenge, five days of video instructions with all the how-to to make this style journal with a fabric cover. I used quilting cotton to make book cloth for the cover. The pages are Mohawk Superfine Text paper that's ideal for writing. Beautiful paper for signatures!I put together this quick card for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog.
It's an easy way to use ribbons for a background. I'm trying to downsize my craft stash a bit but this card didn't really make a dent in my ribbon collection!
I'm planning to make a few more backgrounds in various colors to have on hand when I need a quick card. I'll add a greeting when I need it.
You can find all the directions with step out photos HERE.
Happy crafting!
Judy

Those embossed stars are fun! I used a E-Z Runner® Stars Refillable Dispenser to apply adhesive stars. Then I added gold embossing powder and heat embossed them. A few curled at edges which fit with my design! I think the stars didn't stick quite as well to some of painted papers in my collage.
There 's a bit of stamping across the tag as well. The script and black specks were stamped with stamps from Tim Holtz stamp set The Poinsettia.
This tag was pure fun for me! I've come to enjoy making collage backgrounds.
Thanks for stopping!
