A Halloween Card

I have a quick Halloween card to share today.....

....created with stamps from Artistic Outpost's

Haunted Halloween and Vintage Halloween.

First, I stamped the house with Memento London Fog on white cardstock.  I added the tree and fence with Memento Tuxedo Black.  The bats were also stamped with Tuxedo Black ink stamped off once.  I trimmed close to the house image edges and the bottom of the fence, then placed it on a black mat.  I fastened it to piece of orange Bazzill for my card front. 

I stamped the pumkins on a scrap of white card stock with Tuxedo Black.  I colored them with Copic markers (as shown in the photo) and cut them out.  They're popped up with a foam

 square.

I stamped just "Happy" (Haunted Halloween set) with Versafine Black Onyx and heat embossed it with clear EP.  "Halloween" (Vintage Halloween set) was stamped with the same ink and clear embossed also.

I fastened it to the front of a 3 1/2" x 6" white card.

Quick and fun to make!

Skeleton Tag

This is a quick skeleton tag I created with Artistic Outpost's Haunted Halloween set.
I sprayed the tag with Glimmer Mist.....I can't remember what colors.  Then I stamped all the images.  The house is stamped off once before stamping to keep it lighter.  I clear embossed the verse, bats and the scarecrow after stamping with Versafine Black Onyx. 
I added some thin black yarn  to the top......voila! done!
This could easily be adapted for a quick Halloween card.

A haunting Tag

Today, I posted this tag on the Artistic Outpost blog.
I used the new Haunted Halloween stamp set....such an awesome collection of images!

I started with a #8 manilla tag.  I sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer mists:  Sunshine and Midnight Blue.  I forgot to make notes for all the details so I may have used another color like Bubbles, too.  Anyway, the Sunshine is mostly in the center house area with Midnight Blue at the very top and bottom.  The bats and house are stamped with Ranger Archival Jet Black. 
I stamped the crow and circle verse separately.  Both are stamped withVersafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.  I added a little color on the circle with Copic markers.  I also added a little orange to the crow's beak and feet plus gray to the highlights on his feathers.  They're mounted to the tag with foam squares.  The tags at the top are simply strips of paper with the verse stamped and clear embossed.  I punched a hole in one end to tie them to the tag with some yarn and other fibers.

Haunting

This is a card I created with Artistic Outpost's new Haunted Halloween stamps.  I think this is the prettiest witch I've ever seen!
She was so fun to color with Copics (see photo below).  She was my inspiration and starting point.  The house is stamped on a tag that I had sprayed with Glimmer mist.  I used Ranger Archival Jet Black ink.  I stamped the bats in the corners and added a touch of color to the windows with a Copic marker.  I trimmed it close to the stamped image.

The gold/orange mat is card stock stamped repeatedly with the spider webs.  I used several different colors of Memento inks.  I sprayed it with Glimmer Mists Dreamsicle, Wheatfields, and Sunshine. 

I stamped the bats repeatedly over the card front using Memento London Fog ink. The pebbly pattern at the bottom of the card was stamped with the end of the bats stamp that has tiny bats. I thought it worked for a cobblestone effect!

I inked "haunting" from the stamp "A haunting we will go" on a scrap of the same paper as the gold/orange mat.  I used Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed it.  I freehand cut it out and added a narrow black mat.

It's certainly a different take on Halloween colors!

I chose to work with the Haunted Halloween stamps for this release.  My favortie stamp is the house.....and the bats.  Okay, two favorites.  Then there's the Victorian Witch...I like her, too.  I have several favorites!  I had fun working with all the images!  I'm sharing my very favorite creation using this set, a wall hanging.  I really like how this turned out!  
 

I started with the house stamped in Espresso on white card stock.  It's a separate piece than the surrounding background.   I added all the colors with Cut n Dry Foam and Distress inks: Stormy Sky, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo,Wild Honey, Walnut Stain.

Then I went looking for a Spellbinders shape to use with it.  These Wonky Squares seemed perfect for a ghostly house! 
I cut the frame out of brown and red Core'dinations paper and embossed it over Fleur de Lis Impressabilities.  I sanded off some of the brown.  The red color wasn't quite what I wanted so I rubbed Distress Wild Honey over it.  Love the orange color!  
I then stamped the crow with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed him with clear EP.  I added gray to the highlights with Copic N0, N1, N3 and a touch of yellow to his feet and beak with YR18.  I decided right away that I wanted him on the top of the frame.
After trying several size options, I finally settled on 5" x 7".  That's when I decided to make it a hanging rather than a card.

I cut a piece of white card stock to cover my heavy chipboard backing.  I rubbed Antique Linen, Stormy Sky and Vintage Photo into the paper for my background.  I stamped the bats with Ranger Archival Jet Black ink.  I shifted the stamp in order to get the bats along both sides in a pattern that looked natural.  I even rolled the stamp in my hand in order to stamp just one little bat to fill in some areas.....advantage of cling mount stamps!

The scrolly pieces are cut out of very dark green Bazzill paper using Spellbinders Fanciful Holiday....a Christmas set.  I used each of the scrolly pieces in the set.  I glued the long piece along the bottom of the frame. I used one of the little pieces along the side.

"Happy Halloween" is stamped with Black Onyx and clear embossed on the back side of orange Bazzill. I hand cut it and the dark green mat. I used another scrolly piece around it.

Once I had all the pieces laid out, I decided to add another long scroll across the bottom.  I also added the little corner pieces.  Those are the cut-outs from the small scroll pieces. Such a great corner accent! 

I covered the back with DP.  I added a hanging cord of twisted pearl cotton. I used my drill to twist 2 pieces together, fold in half and let it twist together again....4 strands.  I used one of my cast off die cut pieces to cover the cord ends.
