Hello!
Yes, I'm still around! Wow, time certainly zipped by since I last posted!
I have been creating only I can't share most of it as yet. So sorry!
Last weekend I put together a beautiful card for my BIL and wife's anniversary. Then I forgot to photograph it before I gave it to them!!! oh well.......
So I went searching through my photos for something to share.....
This is a card I created with stamps from Windows and Doors by Artistic Outpost.
I stamped the door with Ranger Espresso. I added just a touch of color to the flowers and greenery with Copic markers. I used a waterbrush to pull some of the stamped ink color across the bricks and background around the door. Espresso is a water based ink so the water in the brush activates it. A very quick way to add a touch of monochromatic color.
The verse is stamped with Espress also. I used one of the die templates from Spellbinders Grommet Tags S4-322 to cut the shape. I cut off the tabs at each end. I freehand cut a dark brown mat. The inner color was rubbed on while the paper was still in the die template which creates a border of the original paper color. I used Antique Linen ink.
A simple and fairly quick card!
I'm participating in a blog hop on June 2 so I promise there will be a post then!!! I sure hope to make something else to share before that. I have Spellbinders projects to complete this weekend. That has to take priority!
Thanks for visiting!
Smiles to you!

Flourishes Blog Hop
Today, I'm participating in a blog hop for Flourishes! Blogger has made the day quite challenging because it absolutely didn't work! There was no way to make a post last night. Finally, it's up again! And I'm home from work to make a post!
Here's a little blurb from Flourishes:
This set is called Country Charm Labels. The labels fit Spellbinders Grommet Tags S4-322. Great tags and verses for note cards!
This set is Country Charm Borders. Notice all the coordinating prints in the borders to work perfectly with Country Charm Tags!
I would love to have used both sets for a card but I just plain didn't have time this week! Lots of things scheduled and a few things that popped up. That always throws a monkey wrench in my plans!!!
My card was created with a label and verse from Country Charm Labels.
I stamped the label first with Versafine Onyx Black and clear heat embossed it. I cut it out with the matching Spellbinders Grommet Tag. I added a touch of color to the center with Distress Wild Honey ink. So easy to do with Spellbinders die templates!!! Leave the paper in the template and add the ink. Perfect!
I cut 2 more of the tag, one of white and one of black. These I cut in half lengthwise and added them to each edge of my stamped Grommet Tag. That's how I got the black and white borders!
I cut several flowers to layer from Spellbinders Rose Creations and Carnation Creations. I've added a touch on Wild Honey to the petals. Each has a black wire stem and black brad center.
The DP is from Graphic 45 Curtain Call Collection 8 x 8 pad. I've added black and white borders. The yellow card front has a touch of Wild Honey along each edge.
I sure hope you enjoyed your stop here! So sorry I couldn't get this posted sooner. Keep hoppin' to see lots of inspiration. All the blogs listed below.

Happy Mother's Day!
To my Mom.........
This is the card I made for my Mom. I didn't have this in mind at all when I started. It just evolved!
I started with the verse from KaiserCraft. That led me to find a tag for it. I chose SPellbinders Fancy Tags Three S5-031 cut from gold metallic paper. I added the verse stamped and cut out of white cs aged with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo. The gold tag is layered onto a dark red tag, also from Fancy Tags Three. I rubbed Black STazOn ink over the embossed areas of both. I've used the cut-outs above and below the tags. The next layer is Labels Sixteen S4-301 cut from DP with a gold frame cut from Labels Sixteen #5 & 6 (#1 being smallest). Next is a Fleur de Lis Square S4-318. These are layered onto a dark red mat, music DP mat and card, all cut with 3 sizes of Grand Labels One LF-161. All have been distressed with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo inks. I added pearl dots with a Viva Gold Pearl Pen.
I waited to post this so Mom wouldn't see it before I could give it to her. She often checks my blog.
She loved it! I recently showed her the Grand Calibur and how it works as well as some of the die templates. When she saw the card, she immediately knew it was Spellbinders die cuts!!! She even counted all the layers!
The day I gave her the mini demo about Spellbinders, her mind was whirling with ideas of how to use the Grand Calibur with fabrics. I offered to buy her one but she declined. SHe was sure she could get me to cut her some shapes!!! Thanks, Mom, for passing on to me the ability to see creative possibilities! And for all the exposure to sewing and lots of DIY inspiration! You're the best!
A belated Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

...the Ritz
Puttin on the Ritz with Artistic Outpost stamps!
I've used 2 stamps from Flapper Fashions for this card. There's just a touch of color added to the "Hotel..." image with a couple purples and a touch of green Copic markers. This image is stamped on glossy paper with Ranger Archival Jet Black ink and the verse is the same. I added black mats to both.
The dark purple mat was cut with Spellbinders Reverse Wonky Rectangles S4-307. I hand cut the black mat. I added a few pearl dots of Ice White Viva Pearl Pen. The dots look just like pearl gems, don't they? Viva paint pens have such great dimension.
I tied a dotted ribbon around the Reverse Wonky Rectangle and adhered it all to a pale lavendar card.
