Today is my sister's birthday! I know she'll read this at some point......Happy Birthday! Enjoy your cake!
Here's the card I made for her....

As for the details.....
For the verse background, I used a new stamp from Layers of Color, Victorian Frame, made especially to fit Spellbinders Labels Fourteen. I stamped it with Distress Pumice Stone on a light blue paper from Fancy Pants' Hot Chocolate collection. I stamped the verse from Tim Holtz' Fairytale Frenzy set with Ranger Denim and clear embossed it. Then I used Labels Fourteen #4 to cut it out. I rubbed Stormy Sky ink along the edges. For the narrow blue mat, I cut around the Labels Fourteen die template with my craft knife.

I added a piece of lace with seam binding tied over it. The seam binding is sprayed with Frost Glimmer Mist. I rolled in my hands to spread the color and crinkle it. I threaded a few beads onto the ends. Three buttons finish the card.
Definitely not a traditional birthday card!
Hope you've enjoyed your visit!

Truly a work of art! You always incorporate such great color and dimension in your projects.
Beautiful card Judy, love the texture and dimension. You are a true artist.
nb: judy, can you clarify the spellbinders blog hop question-it says there will be a draw on the 18th and a draw on the 19th. One posting per blog...PER DAY???? or can you post on the 18th one time and then if a DT member has a 19th day posting you post on that day also??? ie|: your blog , post once on the 18th and then once on the 19th??? \let us all know. gracias
What a fabulous birthday card! Your sister is one lucky girl!
To answer your question, Cottagerca, you may leave 1 comment on my blog as well as every other blog participating in the Holiday Hoppin' blog hop. There are lots of designers participating so check them all and leave a comment on each one. One comment per blog/per person!
There'll be lots of fun eye candy!
Beautiful, would love to receive this
What a beautiful card and I love how you carried the theme onto the gift bag. I love using Spellbinders and am always looking for new ways to use them on cards and scrapbook pages. Thanks for sharing.
