Good morning!! Like every month, we love bringing you inspiration for the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month; today is our Die of the Month Blog Hop!! This month we have the most elegant of elegant dies that are designed to allow you to cut the die then slip a card into position.
The Lacework Finery Slip-In Card Die has a tiara-like motif that can be used with the corner pieces or without. If you are looking for a subdued card, why not use the corner pieces only? All of the pieces are inlaid, you can use them alone or together to get the look you want.
Everyone on the Creative Team has joined in to give you their spin, in their style. We hope you'll see something that resonates and inspires you.
If you are new to our blogs, the Die of the Month is an exclusive die Becca has designed for Spellbinders - it is called the Lacework Finery Slip-In Card Die. This particular set has 10 dies and they can be used to make a background, a slip-in card, or a frame with decorative corners, while the individual dies in the set can be used for many things. Oh, and to make the set complete, there are flowers!

Today, I made 2 projects.....
The Lacework Daisy Gift Bag and Card are shown above. Best Things Card is shown below. Although the die set is designed for making a slip-in card with a band and corner, I chose to use the decorative band separately on a gift bag. It's easy to trim the side edges to use it that way! I really like that this set has flower dies, too! The daisies turned out so pretty! I used the small and medium sizes for the flowers and the petals of the large flower to make leaves. On the card, I used one of the corner pieces with a daisy. I simply cut the corner edges - the die cuts the curved edge only so that it can be used to hold a slip in card. I like that the edge dies are separate so I could cut a solid color to put behind the decorative pieces.
For my Best Things Card, I cut separate corner pieces and the lacework band. Again, I trimmed the corner edges and the side edges of the band. I also cut the decorate pieces into the script layer. I fastened the brown inked pieces over the cut outs so the color of the mat below shows through. Love the little detail cut outs on the band where I stitched with cord and added a bow! To cut the piece with the verse, I used band edge and cut both top and bottom edges.
This die set can be used in so many ways! Check out all the other designer's projects! You'll be truly inspired!!!
