Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Here's wishing you a bit o' luck on this day!
I don't usually make St Patrick's day cards. I'm not Irish. In fact, I don't think I've ever made one until tonight. I started with a plan to make some four leaf clovers with Spellbinder's heart cut outs so I could post something here to celebrate this day. Once I had those put together, I needed a background to add interest to my photo. Well, that led to an actual card ....a very dimensional card.
What do you think of those four leaf clovers?
I cut small hearts out of green cardstock & added a bit of Distress Peeled Paint ink. I shaped them & glued them to green florist wires. The card top has a green & white oval behind the check paper. I used a small oval Spellbinder's die to trace the oval shape onto the check paper and cut it out with a scissor. The curved verse is from a Crafty Secrets set called "Home Sweet Home".
I used the only green ribbon I had to create the bow. It seemed a little big at first but I love how it looks on the finished card. The tag was cut with a Spellbinder's die out of white paper. I added Peeled Paint, Mustard Seed & Pine Needles inks to it after I stamped & embossed the greeting (Hero Arts Happy Greetings) . A mist of water blended the colors.
This card was so much fun to put together!
Stamps: Crafty Secrets Home Sweet Home, Hero Arts Happy Greetings
Spellbinders Heart & Petite Oval dies, Pinking Pierceabilities
Distress Inks: Peeled Paint, Pine Needles, Mustard Seed
Papers: Cloud 9 & Imaginisce
Martha Stewart punch
May luck be with you this day!
