Brushstroke Flower Sympathy Card

I finally tried my Sizzix Brushstroke Flowers 3 die to make two sympathy cards. I'm super happy with how it turned out!  I also stamped and inked the flap of  an envelope to coordinate.

If you follow me on Instagram or my Facebook page, I posted it there last week

I cut both flowers from heavy watercolor paper.  Then I painted all the parts with watercolors.  They are my "go to" product right now!

The background is a combination of several stamps.  I used Tim Holtz' Craze and Planks (craze stamp) and Architecture plus script and splatters from The Poinsettia stamped with Versafine Clair Medieval Blue and Monarch. Next,  I colored over the stamping with watercolors.  Once it was dry, I rubbed on Distress inks Chipped Sapphire around the edges and Seedless Preserves towards the window.  The gold lines are drawn with a Signo gold pen and a ruler.

The sympathy verse is stamped on white card stock with Versafine Onyz Black (used because its so good for details) and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I rubbed Chipped Sapphire ink over it until I got the color I wanted and then buffed ink off the letters with towel.  It's popped up with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares.

I used Distress Seedless Preserves and Chipped Sapphire inks to color the ribbon by rubbing it right on each pad to pick up some color.  Then I misted it with water and rolled the ribbon in my hands to distribute the color.  I dried it with my heat tool.

thanks for visiting!

Happy creating!

Judy
