Mini Art Journal

 Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing a Mini Art Journal covered with coffee dyed paper and an old book page.  It's easy to make!

I was inspired by small journal made by @KarenElaineCreative on Instagram to create my journal.  It's a perfect size to carry along for quick sketches or even notes and ideas.

This journal has pages of drawing paper.  It could easily be adapted to have watercolor paper, lined paper or printer paper.  Ideas for the cover are endless!

I posted all the details of how to make it on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog today.  Click HERE to go there.
There are minimal supplies needed. List is below

Inspire Hearts of Others Card

 Hello crafty friends!

Last week I dyed some papers using an old bottle of dye mist with rust water.  I used some of those papers on this card.

The background is an old book page with script stamped on it.  The heart was cut from dyed paper.  I've popped the heart and tag up with Thin 3D Foam Squares. Verse is from Tim Holtz, heart and background dies form Gina K and tag die from Heidi Swapp.

I posted step out photos and directions on Scrapbook Adhesives Blog today.  Click HERE to go there.

Layered Arches Flower Card

 Hello friends!

I've got another project up on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog today.  Click HERE to go to the post.

This card has a textured background that's very easy to do with Adhesive Sheets and crumpled tissue paper.  All the directions are on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog post.

I've added dimension to the arches with 3D Foam Strips.  The painted watercolor flowers also have dimension with 3D Foam Circles under petals and leaves.

Stamped and fussy cut or die cut flowers could easily be used instead of a hand painted watercolor flower.

I hope you find some inspiration for your creative journey!

Thanks for stopping!

Make Your Heart Sing Tag

Today, I've made a vintage looking tag to share.  I really struggled with coming up with an idea for a project this time.  So I started sorting through bits and pieces for past projects, things I couldn't quite throw away.  I found some hearts and a verse that would work with it and this tag evolved...

I used an easy technique to apply torn pieces of old book page to start the background on the tag.  Simply apply   to tag and then lay pieces of book page on it leaving gaps between pieces.  I used Distress Glaze to sprinkle into the exposed adhesive areas and heat embossed with heat tool.  From there, I applied several Distress ink colors rubbed onto the tag.  I also stamped foliage and script with permanent black ink.

All these details and more are on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog today. Just click HERE to see all the directions with photos.

Love and Happiness Card with Heart Dangles

 Hello Friends!

Another project for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L!

This pretty card features touches of metallic foil on a stamped and heat embossed background.  After warming the embossing, I placed foil on it and it stuck to the melted embossing powder.  I again heated it after foil was stuck which melted foil into the embossed design.  It's a bit challenging to do to get the right amount of heat to just re-melt the powder but not too much to make it too soft.  The dangle hearts are made from 3D Foam Hearts stuck together, covered with embossing powder, heated to melt it and then re-heated to add foil.  It's a great technique to used foil that has been used for other projects and still has areas of color.  I like the randomness of the foil on the background.

All the details with step out photos are HERE on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog.

Christmas Cookie Bag Topper

 Hello friends!

Do you make cookies to give as gifts during the holidays?  I like to give some to a few family friends. This year I decided to make a Cookie Bag Topper to make them festive.

I've posted all the details with instructions and photos showing how I made this on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog today.  You can click HERE to the the post

It's an easy project that can be done in steps to fit into a busy schedule.

Once the "cookies" are die cut and assembled, putting the topper together goes quickly.

Of course, baking the cookies to put in the bag take more time!  But oh so good!
