Filigree Easter Basket made with Amazing Paper Grace Ornamental Arch

Hello everyone! Here's a sweet little Filigree Easter Basket made with Grand Arch 3D Card – 3D Vignettes and Ornamental Arch – 3D Vignettes designed by Becca Feeken for Spellbinders.  This is a fun little treat basket.  Paper color can easily be changed for a completely different looking basket.  Make a variety of colors!

Here's how to make this little basket....

Cut 2 side pieces with  Ornamental Arch – 3D Vignettes

Partially cut arch with Grand Arch 3D Card – 3D Vignettes inner arch die.  To do this place die on arched paper piece and tape in place. (use removable tape).  Place on cutting place.  Place cover plate only over portion of die to cut arch.  This is over the arch part.  I've made a light pencil mark along the side for how far to cut.  Run through die cutting machine in this way.  Pressure will only be applied where cover plate is covering die and rest won't cut.  You can see one piece that is cut in the photo.

Cut 2 of Grand Arch 3D Card – 3D Vignettes side pieces.  Cut one in half for ends of basket.  Trim other one to same size as bottom edge of basket side piece plus 1/4 inch on each end.

Here you can see the bottom has been cut and corners diagonally cut.  Ends were scored at 1/4 inch.

Apply Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6 inch to back of white cardstock.  Cut 2 with Ornamental Arch – 3D Vignettes outer die and filigree arch.

From cutouts, cut 2 with Ornamental Arch – 3D Vignettes inner filigree die.

Cut curved portion off of filigree inner piece.

Place filigree pieces on basket sides by removing Adhesive Sheet backing and pressing in place.

Apply Extreme Double-Sided Tape ¼ in to edges of bottom and side pieces.

Fasten bottom to bottom edges of both basket sides

Fasten end pieces to bottom.  Fold up basket sides and fasten to side edges.

Basket looks like this

Curl flaps over round object like pencil or marker.  Secure to each side with Extreme Double-Sided Tape ¼ in.  Stack pink and white buttons. Stitch through holes with pearl cotton. Fasten button to basket side with Adhesive Dots Medium.  I used 2 for extra sticking power!

To complete basket, tie bow around handles.  I colored the seam binding with Distress inks to match my buttons.  Cut white tag with Graceful Tiny Tag – Vintage Elegance die.  Stamp verse on tag.  Tie to basket handle.

Fill baslet with Easter grass and candies!  Enjoy!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
