INTRODUCING AMAZING PAPER GRACE – 3D VIGNETTES

Welcome friends, today we are introducing a new die collection by Becca Feeken for Spellbinders called 3D Vignettes.

3D Vignettes is a series of dies that can be included in a Grand Base die to create 3D upright cards that folds down flat to go into an envelope - a collapsible tunnel card!  You can see it in action in the 1.5 minute video ------> HERE.

Where these Vignettes are unique, is the ability to die cut or not die cut each and every layer for an ethereal see through dimensional creation.  The collection was designed to cut out whole or to be cut out inlaid for inclusion in a Grand Base.  The collection centers around three themes - baby, love and birthday, and today we show you traditional uses but with a little dreaming, only the sky is the limit.

The dies and elements can be used as standalones or in the Grand Base. There is a good degree of mix and match ability across the entire collection.  The other designers have made three cards to show you how easy it is to isolate different sets or combine them all into one, they are:
  • The Simple Card - There are two layering dies which can be used as inserts or used on their own in regular cards.
  • The Embellished Card - There is a set of shaped dies, these add drama or can be used on their own in regular cards.
  • The Decked Out Card - There is a 3D Grand Card, standing, yet collapsible, made for use with purchased inserts or to use with dies from your own stash
By now you've seen all the dies in the collection.  I'm going to take some of those same dies and flip the script a little bit.  I've created an "Oh Happy Day" mini album with Grand Cabinet Card dies. The pages are assembled on the left side same as a card, then the tabs are secured flat and covered with cardstock to make the album binding. I simply snipped off the tabs on the outer edge of each page. The covers were cut of light cardboard, plus 110 lb. cardstock and patterned paper.  Each page base is 110 lb. cardstock with decorative papers covering both sides.  Two pages have frames open at top to tuck in photos, two pages have flip pages for multiple mini photos, or journaling, and in back is a pocket to store memorabilia. Three of the same pages have pockets on the side edge with inserts peeking out, a place to journal. The cover is decorated with the beautiful intricate border from Grand Cabinet Card layered over peach paper and then over script paper.  It's embellished with tiny paper flowers, gold leaves and a silk bow.  "Oh Happy Day" was cut from black cardstock multiple times and layered for dimension, then rubbed with gold metallic wax.  I love how this turned out!  What fun to make it to celebrate a special happy day!

The sets I'm using today  S6-139 Grand Cabinet Card, S4-867 Cinch and Go III, SDS-116 Oh Happy Day

Squeee!! I thought I was in heaven with this used as a tunnel card, but your gorgeous album just makes my heart happy!! My first choice will be to do anniversary cards with the grand cabinet with happily ever after & filigree veil and the frilly numbers, then I want to do an album!!!

You definitely caught my attention with the pink and black color combination but what a great gift idea...more than a card. It's dramatic but still has b that elegant touch you expect from anything related to Amazing Paper Grace dies. Absolutely gorgeous!

Hi, Judy,
Your project cinched the Grand Cabinet as my favorite die because you definitely highlighted it's versatility. I make a specialty 'card' that's a cross between a mini-scrapbook folio and an accordion card and so I am always on the look out for nooks & crannies to tuck little notes into. Oh, the possibilities!
I'm so glad you're on Becca's team and I look forward to enjoying more of your creations.
Blessings, Sandy
