Winter Thank You Cards with Scrapbook-Adhesives/BoBunny Blog Hop

Hello!  Today, I'm participating in a Blog Hop with BoBunny and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You can find more inspiration for this hop on the Scrapbook Adhesives Blog or BoBunny Blog!  The hop started on Monday so be sure to look at older posts to see all the projects!

I've put together 3 quick thank you cards with BoBunny® Winter Wishes Papers, Combo Stickers. Noteworthy collection.  This collection has a soft muted color theme.  I really like it!  It's a perfect match to the winter colors here in Minnesota.   I chose to make Thank You cards with hopes of needing a few after the holidays!  wink!

All three cards have a white card base.  I've fastened various papers from BoBunny Winter Wishes collection of 12 x 12 papers to the card fronts with E-Z Dots® Permanent Refillable Dispenser.  I love the muted color theme of this collection!  I used stickers from the Combo set for the two "Thanks" cards.  So easy! Just stick them to a contrast paper mat and fasten to the card!  I've added pieces from the Noteworthy set plus a few sequins as embellishments.

I used 3D Foam Creative Sheets applied to the back of pink paper to give my die cut Thank You and Thanks dimension on two of the cards.  The foam compresses as it goes through a die cut machine and cuts easily. Often the adhesive backing doesn't cut completely so I lift the die with the die cut in place if I can.  Then I remove it gently from the die. It's so easy to fasten to my card front with the adhesive backing.
The third card has the same Thanks die cut only cut with Adhesive Sheets 4 x 6ʺ applied to the back of the paper before die cutting.  This makes the die cut a sticker without dimension.

I've used DODZ™ Adhesive Dots Mini to fasten sequins to the cards.  The Noteworthy snowflakes and button shapes are popped up with Thin 3D Foam Squares – Mix White.  I also used them under the matted image to pop it up.

On the card that says "Thank You", I added 2 strips of Girlie Grunge Twine.  I used E-Z Runner® Micro Refillable Dispenser to apply a line of adhesive to hold the twine.  It was perfect width for 2 pieces of twine.  I fastened the bow with DODZ™ Adhesive Dots Mini which I rolled to fit the bow.

Thanks for visiting today!  Sending you Winter Wishes wherever you are!

Nature Journey Box with Crafty Foam Tape

Happy Friday!
Today I'm participating in a blog hop with  Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®

Fall Colors

I love the colors of nature, especially in the fall!  This fall I spent a weekend in northern Minnesota where the colors were amazing!  I'm a collector, I admit it!  I gathered colored leaves, pretty pebbles, twigs and bark.  Those bits and pieces from my nature walk were my inspiration to put together this Nature Journey Box.

Nature Journey Box

I used Graphic 45 Mixed Media 5x5 Box-Kraft which has an opening in the top and a magnetic closure. It comes with 6 mat pages.  It works really well for my collection!
I used papers from Graphic 45 Safari Adventure 6x6 Patterns and Solids to decorate it.  On the top I've created a shadow box.  I used Crafty Foam Tape - Black on the inside of the box cover around the opening to add some depth.  I fastened a square of patterned paper to make the bottom of my shadow box. It looks good on the inside, too!  The brown frame was cut from paper fastened to 3D Foam Creative Sheets to add thickness.  There's Crafty Foam Tape - Black under the brown/red frame to add more dimension.   I used a piece of clear packaging to make the window.  More layers of patterns and solid papers are fastened with E-Z Runner® Ultra Refillable Dispenser on top and sides.

I brushed Girlie Grunge Art Medium on the leaf to seal it and glue it in place.  All the pebbles are fastened with DODZ Adhesive Dots Mini.  The date and "nature journey" (cut from G45 Safari Adventure paper) are on pieces of birch bark which is popped up with Crafty Foam Tape - Black

On the inside, I added a piece of seam binding fastened to bottom of box as a pull to lift the pages for viewing.
I've used pieces of pattern paper to decorate the pages.  The leaves are all sealed and glued in place with Girlie Grunge Art Medium.  I made a shaker box of sorts to display my pebbles.  It's made with cardboard backing and frame with clear packaging window.  I used 3 layers of Crafty Foam Tape - Black around the edges to create enough space for the pebbles.

Here are the pages:
Birch Bark and Twig

Maple Leaf

Grass

Ironwood Leaf

Sumac Branch
Poplar Leaf

Pebbles

I hope I've tweaked your creative energy with a bit of inspiration!

Dog Gone Birthday Cards

 Hello everyone!

I actually took time to make some birthday cards last week. I played with my set of Tim Holtz Mini Cats and Dogs stamps and matching dies.  These were fun cards to put together!  I didn't have much time so I couldn't over think.  Sometimes I do better then!

Both cards are made with papers from my stash.  I'm not sure if it's current.  I wasn't particularly fond of these papers until I used them for these cards!

I used Koi Watercolor Brush Pens for coloring.  I scribbled the markers on my craft mat and then used a water brush to apply color to dogs.  Each one is popped up with 3D Foam Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

I simply free hand cut the circle by using a die for outline.  Too lazy to get my die cut machine out! Pretty pathetic huh?

Thanks for stopping by!

WCMD Sweet Birthday Card

Happy World Card Making Day!

I put together a sweet birthday card for my granddaughter who turns 4 tomorrow.  This was a fun card to make!

All stamps that I used are from a Penny Black set, Big Wish.  Perfect for a little girl card!  I pulled out my Copic markers for coloring. It's been a long time since I've used them. It was really fun to do some coloring!
I also used Double Sided Tape from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L applied to face of aqua paper before die cutting a number 4. I removed tape backing and added glitter to make  a sparkly "4"!
The plaid paper is from Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Petite Paper Pack.  Love plaids!!! Love the colors in this pack!
The kitty, balloon and number 4 are popped up with 3D Foam Tape. I've use E-Z Runner Dots Refillable Dispenser to apply adhesive to assemble all the layers.

Happy creating!
Judy

A Butterfly Card and Notepad for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog Hop with Lawn Fawn

Today, I have a fun card and notepad combo on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog. This week we're blog hopping with Lawn Fawn. Lots of inspiration!!!

I've used Lawn Fawn's Flutter By stamp set and Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Petite Paper Pack to make this card and notepad cover. I stamped the butterfly and verse with Versamark ink on white cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I used Tombow markers to color butterfly and around verse. The notepad is covered with paper from Perfectly Plaid Petite Paper Pack which was fastened with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Adhesive Sheets 6 x 12". So easy to apply adhesive backing on paper with those!  It holds the butterfly in place on the notepad. The butterfly on the card is fastened with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Dodz Adhesive Dots Mini with wings popped up with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares, White Small. I've added some faux stitching and dotted flight line with Tsukineko Neon Amplify!.

Die Cut Gauze Flowers on a Card

Hello Blog Friends!

I hope you've stopped for the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and My Favorite Things blog hop! A great combination of super adhesives and fun stamps and papers!  To showcase some of the products, I've created a card with die cut gauze flowers.  These were cut from Girlie Grunge Gauze stiffened with Girlie Grunge Art Medium.  The gauze would simply fall apart when die cut without something to bind the fibers together.  The Girlie Grunge Art Medium does that.  It works super well!

Here’s what I did:
First, I misted a piece of Girlie Grunge Gauze with water.  Then I wadded it into a ball to disperse the water evenly.  Next, I added a few globs of Girlie Grunge Art Medium on the gauze.  Again, I wadded it into a ball and squeezed it to spread the Art Medium. (It's a bit messy but washed off easily). I repeated that step once more.  Then I spread the gauze on a craft mat to dry.  I don’t have a lot of patience waiting for stuff to dry!  I used a heat gun to speed it up.  Be careful though, as it will scorch quite easily!
To add color to the gauze, I sponged on MFT Hybrid Inks, Blueberry for the flowers and Coral Crush for the leaves.  I let it dry a few minutes.  I used MFT Die-namics Prima Donna Petals dies to cut flowers and leaves.  The gauze cuts so easy!

I used a dot of Girlie Grunge Art Medium (this product is so versatile!) to glue the flower together.

To make the flower center, I placed a DODZ™ 3D on flower front.  Then I placed a DODZ™ Medium on the back and left the plastic in place.  I poured some Prills over DODZ™ 3D, pressed them in place and removed excess.

To place on card, I simply removed protective plastic from DODZ Medium on flower back and pressed in place.
My card is 4¼ x 6⅛ʺ.  I used a white card base with one corner cut with ½ʺ rounder.  I added a layer of paper from MFT Subtle Plaids Paper Pack fastened with E-Z Runner Dots Permanent.  The verse from MFT Cheerful Blessings is stamped with Blueberry ink on MFT Homespun Gingham paper.  I rounded the corner and layered it on white cardstock.  I added a strip of Girlie Grunge Oak Tissue Tape.  Next to it, I fastened a piece of Girlie Grunge Twine glued in place with Girlie Grunge Art Medium.  I used E-Z Runner Dots Permanent (my favorite tape runner!) to fasten to card.  The final step is to fasten the flowers!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

I made this card for my Mom.  It was fun to play with a mix of products, some old and some new to me!

Flowers were cut from vellum using Donna Salazar Rose Creations die by Spellbinders.  I colored them with Chameleon marker that I smeared with my finger to get a softer shade. I applied Radiant Neon Amplify! from Tsukineko to petal edges.  With heat, it puffs up.  Fun new product for me!
Each center is Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Dodz sprinkled with micro beads.  One of my favorite ways to add flower centers!  The Kraft background piece was embossed with Spellbinders Shady Allure 3D Em-bossing Fold'er.  I rubbed it with Distress Picket Fence ink pad to add highlights.  The white piece was a die cut scrap.  I'm not sure what die set it's from.

 Happy Creating!

Bright Daisy Frame

Hello friends! Today, I’m sharing a Bright Daisy Frame for a blog hop sponsored by Stampendous®! and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™! What fun! Favorite stamping products and favorite adhesives!
You can find all the details for Day 2 here. And there are prizes!

For my Bright Daisy Frame, I used Stampendous! Cling Daisy Mix stamp set and matching Daisy Mix die set with Spring Micro Glitter and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Girlie Grunge Gauze, 3D Foam Squares and Dodz Mini.

To make this frame, I started with a wood craft frame and painted it soft yellow.  For some texture and a little bit of shabby chic look, I glued Girlie Grunge Gauze to it.  I used Dual Tip Glue Pen to spread a thin coat of glue over frame.  Then I pressed and smoothed a piece of Girlie Grunge Gauze over it.  I trimmed gauze along edges and opening.
Next, I created the flowers.  I used stamps from Stampendous® Cling Daisy Mix set with black ink on white card stock. I colored them with Distress Crayons and blended the colors with water.  Photo shows upper flower and leaf colored with crayons and bottom flower and leaf colored and blended with water.
It’s so easy to cut these out with matching Stampendous® Daisy Mix Die Cut Set!  Simply match the inner edges of die with stamped image, tape in place and pass through die cut machine.  Perfect cut!   I shaped the flower petals at this point while they were still a little damp.
Next, I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L™ Dual Tip Glue Pen to apply glue over pink areas and applied Pink glitter from Stampendous Spring Micro Glitter Set.  Then I added glue over the yellow areas and sprinkled with Sunflower glitter.  For leaves, I used Lime glitter along veins, then added glue along edges and sprinkled with Sunflower glitter.  Upper flower and leaf in photo have one color glitter; lower leaf and flower have 2 colors.

For the flower centers, I applied glue with Dual Tip Glue Pen (so easy to use!) and covered with Stampendous Chunky Metallic Seasonings Embossing Enamel.  I did not heat it. I simply used it as a nice textured flower center!
After flowers dried completely, I applied Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares under center of each flower.  On leaves, I used a small 3D Foam Square near center of leaf and Dodz Mini at base end.

I left the backing on the adhesives while I arranged flowers on the frame.  It was easy then to remove adhesive backing and press each flower or leaf in place!

Thanks so much for visiting!  I hope you’ve enjoyed this Bright Daisy Frame!
