A Walk in the Woods Scrapbook Page

This is one of my favorite scrapbook pages!

Until I tried out for the Spellbinders Desgin Team, I didn't do scrapbook pages!!! The first few layouts were really challenging! And it took me forever to get them done. It still takes me quite awhile but I enjoy the process a lot more now. If I had more spare time, I might even scrapbook just for scrapbooking sake!

I love this photo of my daughter and granddaughter walking in the woods one beautiful spring day! It was perfect to use with Spellbinders S4-328 Foliage!
I started with an 8 x 10 photo matted with pink and placed on a lime green page. I freehand cut a brown cardstock tree to fit along the edge with a branch across the top. Then I cut, embossed and inked many leaves! I chose colors from the photo. The leaves are fastened with 3D Foam Squares to make them dimensional. The "bark" on the tree is actually cut with the leaf die template from Spellbinders S5-049 Carnation Creations with a little chalk ink applied. It's great bark! I added some plants at the base of the tree, also inked. The title was created with Basic Grey chipboard letters. Beneath it I added a strip of journaling.

I hope I've inspired you today!
Smiles,

Oh, Judy! This page is just stunning in so many ways :)

I love that you took the time to cut all those leaves (lol!) but it's PERFECT! Another PERFECT & CLEVER were those leaves that you made into barks of that lovely tree.

Your daughter (& granddaughter) will TREASURE this page!!!! TFS such a wonderful inspirational creation :) xo
