A Masculine Touch

I have a card with a masculine touch to share today!
I used JustRite's new cling stamp set, A Day in the Country, for both my image and verse.  Both are stamped with Memento Black Tuxedo on Kraft paper.  The paper color adds a different tone to my Copic colors. See photo for the colors.  I wanted a soft watercolor effect.  The colors are definitely soft, sort of washed out.
After coloring the barn scene, I cut a frame with Spellbinders Labels Eight on the outside and Labels Eleven for the inside edge.  I used Kraft card stock and distressed it a bit with Antique Linen.  The verse was stamped on Kraft paper, too, and then cut with a Spellbinders Petite Ovals die template.  I forgot to make notes for sizes...ooops.....and I left the card at Fond Memories so I can't even check it!
With the paper still in the oval die template, I colored the inner area with Copic B52.  I added 2 little brads at each end and mounted it with foam squaresfrom Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  The DP papers are from Fancy Pants' Hot Chocolate collection.  A striped ribbon covers the meeting of the papers under the frame.  I rubbed on a little Antique Linen along all the edges of the card, too.

Come back on Thursday for the Spellbinders' Holiday Hoppin' blog hop!  It starts at 8:00 a.m.

Have a super day!

This is beautiful, I would have sworn it was a watercolor done by hand.
